Our History
The Manly Warringah Wolves are a proud community football club based at Weldon Oval in Curl Curl, one of the most picturesque Aussie Rules grounds in the country. Established in 1969 under the leadership of Harry Marston, the club has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the strongest and most inclusive clubs in AFL Sydney.
Today the Wolves field both Men’s and Women’s teams across multiple divisions, welcoming players aged 17 and up and fostering a culture built on unity, discipline and team spirit. The club’s Women’s program launched in 2014 and reached an incredible milestone in 2020, winning the Premier Division premiership just seven years after the Men’s side achieved the same feat in its first year in the top division.
The Wolves community extends beyond senior football. The club also supports Northern Beaches Alliance junior teams in the Sydney AFL competition, fielding Under 17s and Under 15s squads for both boys and girls. Whether you’re taking the field, cheering from the boundary, or enjoying a sausage sizzle at Weldon Oval, everyone is welcome to be part of the Wolves family.
